Presence remote file access app substantially drops price

Apr 10, 2014 - Presence 3.0.1, the remote file access app for Mac and iOS, has had its price reduced to $4.99 for a three month subscription, with a 14 day free trial. Presence provides internet access to all of a Mac's files from iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC, plus file and folder sharing with other people and remote viewing through the Mac's camera. The Mac app has entered the App Store for the first time, and the iOS client has been updated with a fresh look for iOS 7.

The new release, version 2.7, also improves reliability for existing users. Presence provides internet access to all a Mac's files by web browser and iOS app, as well as offering easy sharing of files and folders with no uploading. Presence was known as FarFinder prior to May 2011.

New features include a native iPad client, sharing files with others right from the Mac, bridging between other iOS apps and a remote Mac, round-trip editing for iWork, better connectivity and more.


FarFinder returns to the App Store under a different name

Oct 06, 2010 - FarFinder, the remote file access application for Mac and iPhone, has returned to the App Store, but under a temporary name - FarSomething. FarFinder's iPhone client was ejected from the App Store several weeks ago because of Apple's objection to the product's name; the app had been in the App Store for a year and a half. The application will have an official name change later this year. The new name is yet to be announced.
