Sep 09, 2016 - Today's children and youth librarians are increasingly being referred to as "Media Mentors." Living up to this label is now easier thanks to the CTREX database, with a new suite of features released today by Children's Technology Review, the professional, independent source of reviews of the latest digital children's products. It is now possible to Find, Share, and Export the reviews, and a new site license feature lets you manage multiple patron terminals.
Jul 29, 2016 - Children's Technology Review has released CTREX 3.0, the third of four planned versions of Children's Technology Review Exchange. Children's Technology Review is the most up-to-date online repository of reviews of education software and hardware. Besides better speed, there are themed hubs for teachers, parents & librarians plus a publisher directory, as set of rubrics for rating products and the ability to export review lists. CTREX is an attempt to bring measurement science to media curation.
Nov 14, 2014 - Children's Technology Review has just launched what it believes is the world's largest and most up-to-date online repository of reviews of education software and hardware. The Children's Technology Review Exchange contains 11,708 reviews including the latest K-12 products across 26 types of tablet and gaming platforms. The CTREX platform and rating system is subscriber-supported to reduce bias, allowing teachers & parents to find, evaluate, compare, and discuss educational software and hardware.
