Rapid Missed Connections 1.0 introduced for iPhone and iPod touch

San Diego, CA    Feb 08, 2010 in iPhone

[prMac.com] San Diego, California - Independent software developer Noel Churchill today is proud to introduce Rapid Missed Connections 1.0, his new Craigslist submission tool for iPhone and iPod touch devices. Designed specifically to take advantage of the iPhone's unique capabilities and touch interface, Rapid Missed Connections allows users to post a message and a photo to the Missed Connections area on Craigslist.

The Missed Connections area of Craigslist is a bulletin board for people wishing they had made a connection with someone and have no other way to reach out to that person. Featuring a comfortable and simple user interface, Rapid Missed Connections is very straight forward and easy to use. Craigslist users simply enter their username and password which the app will use to send their post. Users who don't have a Craigslist account will be dutifully redirected to the registration page to create one.

Craigslist users then fill out the missed connections post by choosing their city, entering a specific location or landmark within the city, age, the post title, and the full message. A nice feature is that Missed Connection posts are always anonymous unless the user chooses to enter personally identifying information in the post. So even though they're logged in with the app, the post will be anonymous. All connections are executed directly between the device and Craigslist's servers, so there is no security concern or worries about spam.

Among only one of Rapid Missed Connections' key value propositions is its ability to allow users to post photos from their photo album. Photos will make any missed connection stand out amongst the rest and more likely to be viewed. Probably the most significant reason photos are important is that if the photo of that person is included with the user's post, then they're much more likely to make the connection with that person.

Feature Highlights:
* Ability to upload photos from your iphone photo library
* Works in every city where Craigslist works so it's worldwide
* Works with an existing account to keep track of posts
* Simple and easy to use
* Completely anonymous

"I have a few friends that check the missed connections section of craigslist on a very frequent basis and I know it's very popular so I figured there should be an app that helps people post their missed connections," said Noel Churchill, San Diego, California, based independent software developer. "One thing I wanted to innovate on was making it easier for people to post pictures with their missed connections postings because I thought that would make it even more interesting to read them if the poster included a photo of themselves or even better and creepier if they included a photo of the person they are posting about leaving no confusion about who the post is regarding. Most of all I just want to get this app out there and see how many people will use it!"

The Missed Connections area of Craigslist is a very popular section of the website, with people frequently visiting it to read the posts for entertainment. Craigslist as a whole is one of the most visited websites on the internet with an estimated 47 million US visitors every month according to Quantcast - making it the 17th most visited site on the internet.
