[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - CMG Research is pleased to announce the release of Video Grab 1.0, a free Video Camera application for the iPhone 2G and 3G devices. The application runs on standard 2G and 3G handsets and is able to record video at 10 frames per second with a resolution of 320x280 pixels. Sound is also recorded. This app removes the need to upgrade to a 3GS device just to obtain a video camera.
Videos are recorded in the iPhone compatible mp4 format and can uploaded directly to YouTube, emailed from within the app, and copied to the users photo library. The application provides an easy to use way of managing recorded videos - displaying them in a grid very much like the iphones built in photos application. Each video has preview set of frames so the user can quickly see what the video contains. The UI lets the user quickly delete unwanted videos and includes a handy indicator on how much space is being used on the device.
In the free version of the application a small piece of text is added to recorded videos. This can be removed using the in App purchase mechanism to upgrade to the pro version. The application adds to the existing suite of applications from CMG Research that includes the popular image processing application "Sudoku Grab"
