[prMac.com] Eisingen, Germany - nudge:nudge is pleased to announce that Punakea is now available as part of TheMacBundles shareware bundle! On TheMacBundles you will get Punakea as part of a collection of other great apps for a very low price. The bundle will only sell for a short period. Punakea is a little app trying to help you cope with the day-to-day struggle of managing your files. Designed to complement Spotlight, it allows you to tag your files and bookmarks, freeing you of the strict hierarchy of the Finder's folder structure.
What are tags?
A "tag" is like a keyword. Tags can help you to group files which have something in common. You can assign as many tags as you wish to each file.
Why should I use tags?
Well, first of all, you can add as many tags as you like to a file, instead of having to go for a single folder. This has a nice side-effect: By assigning multiple tags to a file, you relate them to one another, which greatly improves your browsing experience - all the related tags are shown as soon as you select a single one.
You can start browsing your files by any of the assigned tags! Then there is another thing, which will be especially interesting for the GTD crowd: tags can not only be used to describe a files meaning, but also to give the files a status - like todo, priority and the likes. To make it short: Tags give you more freedom in organizing your data!
* Organize your files by intuitive keywords ("tags"), not hierarchal folder structures
* Clean, easy-to-use user interface
* Seamlessly integrates with Spotlight
* Doesn't modify your original files, just adds metadata to them
* Mac OS X 10.5 or higher
