[prMac.com] Blacksburg, VA - St. Clair Software today is happy to announce the release of Default Folder X 4.3.7. This release addresses compatibility issues and fine-tunes a number of the features in our award-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs. Honored with Macworld Magazine's Editors' Choice Award for Best System Enhancement Utility, Default Folder X makes Open and Save dialogs "work the way they should."
Default Folder X's custom keyboard shortcuts put your favorite and recent folders at your fingertips. Pop-up menus let you navigate your folders and open Finder windows. Previews, Spotlight comments and tags are there when you need them. Open, save, and get back to work: Default Folder X is workflow for the rest of us.
Default Folder X 4.3.7 is a free update that makes changing your settings easier by adding Drag and Drop to its preference pane, as well several shortcuts to eliminate extra mouse clicks. It also adds two new AppleScript commands to let your scripts determine which file and folder are selected in a file dialog.
Compatibility has been improved, addressing issues with FileMaker Pro 11, Microsoft Word 2008, MacPyMOL, and Apimac's Compress Files. Dates are also formatted correctly in all locales and Default Folder X's creation of previews is more efficient.
* Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
