[prMac.com] Vancouver, BC, Canada - App promotion and discovery site freeAppCalendar today announced a strategic partnership with the leading App Store analytics provider, appFigures. The collaboration will provide developers who are featured on freeAppCalendar access to appFigures' industry-leading analytics platform so they can make better decisions.
"As freeAppCalendar has evolved", founder Ken Carpenter explains, "app developers have been asking us for more and more information on the performance of their featured apps to help them make decisions relating to app marketing, pricing, and promotion timing. Collecting and analyzing this type of information is precisely the area in which appFigures excels."
The two companies originally connected at the recent 360|iDev iPhone developer conference in San Jose, where a veritable "who's who" of the app development community gathered to learn and network. It quickly became apparent that there was a synergy between the two companies' services, and that a collaboration would be beneficial for the app development community and for the companies themselves.
The first visible result of their collaboration is a new feature for developers whose apps are featured on freeAppCalendar. Now appFigures automatically adds an event marker to the developer's app history to indicate which day the app was featured on freeAppCalendar. This event can be shown in all graphs of the app's rank and revenue to give developers an easy reference point they can use for better decision making.
One of the first apps to take advantage of the new feature is today's free game on freeAppCalendar, Bumper Stars, a completely unique mash-up of pool, pinball and bumping beavers, from Press OK Entertainment.
Some of the other features that made appFigures the best choice for freeAppCalendar to partner with include:
* Data import and management is 100% automatic
* App reports are the most detailed and provide incredibly flexible options to view your data
* Hourly rank tracking allows developers to see changes in app performance as they happen
* Real-time app reviews with automatic foreign language translation
* Highly secure and trusted platform tested by 3rd party security specialists McAfee
* A robust worldwide community of thousands of app developers
"By using appFigures prior to being featured on freeAppCalendar, developers can make better decisions on the timing of their free feature date," said Ariel Michael, Co-Founder of appFigures, "and once featured, they can then analyze the increase in their downloads and revenues that result from the massive increase in exposure that being featured on freeAppCalendar can provide."
Both companies are excited to continue their collaboration and have several new features planned for the near future to further assist developers in getting the most out of the App Store and their apps.
Powered by Fileitup Media, appFigures is a reporting platform for iPhone/iPad developers that brings together App Store sales data, worldwide reviews, and hourly rank updates into a single, intuitive and informative reporting solution and enabled better decision through accurate and detailed analytics.
