[prMac.com] Berlin, Germany - Launched this week on the iTunes App Store, Bowmaster, an archery themed, 3D action game with innovative controls urges users to draw bow, take aim and release their inner Robin Hood in the most immersive archery experience. Available for iPhone and iPod touch, Bowmaster presents a whole new world of gameplay that allows you to glide your fingers across the touchscreen creating a sense of control over a real bow and arrow.
An impressive blend of natural archery mechanics and atmospheric 3D scenery and sounds creates the illusion of being in Sherwood Forest during the 13th Century in a reenactment of Robin Hood's legendary debauchery. Bowmaster truly engages its users with good innovative use of the touch screen, a frame rate that is smooth and responsive and aiming that is precise and intuitive.
"The aim of the game is to assume the role of a bowman who aspires to join the Merry Five and become their new leader, the Bowmaster. This is achieved by challenging each member in a one-on-one archery contest where skill and determination are key to overcoming each of the opponent's unique strengths during five testing levels", commented Tore Knabe, lead developer of the game.
Using the Agon online scoring system gameplayers have the chance to better other bowmen's online scores to become the worldwide Bowmaster.
