[prMac.com] Los Gatos, California - DVDxDV today released DVDxDV Pro 3.0 for Macintosh. DVDxDV Pro is software that rips unencrypted standard definition DVDs into Quicktime video files. Version 3.0 includes a new video timeline similar to the ones in found in iMovie or Final Cut Pro. It provides instant access to any location in a DVD movie. The new timeline can be expanded by zooming in or contracted by zooming out. With the timeline, the exact beginning and ending for movie clips can now be set. This saves time because DVDxDV Pro extracts only the parts of the DVD you need.
DVDxDV Pro 3.0 can convert DVDs into High Definition 1080i video for use in Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere and iMovie HD. In addition to editing systems, DVDxDV Pro supports conversion to the MP4 format for use in the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and Apple TV. DVDxDV Pro will convert to any Quicktime compatible codec, as well.
Widely used in the television and film industry around the world, DVDxDV Pro has been used to create video for broadcast television shows and feature films. Its high quality video output has made it the industry standard for creating DVD demo reels for actors, writers, directors and cinematographers. Because DVDxDV Pro works with DVDs any broadcast format such as PAL or NTSC, DVDxDV Pro can read and convert DVD content from any country.
DVDxDV Pro is easy enough to use for people who are new to video editing. DVDxDV Pro is used to re-edit home movies that were transferred from film, VHS, DV and other formats to DVD. DVDxDV Pro converts these DVDs into Quicktime files that can be imported into iMovie HD for editing. After editing, the finished video can be exported to a new DVD.
