[prMac.com] Kitchener, Ontario Canada - RapidWeaver theme developer seyDoggy has reinvented Creamy - one of their most popular themes to date - as Creami3, an exciting new smart theme that is as attractive as it is powerful.
First introduced in 2007, Creamy was a stylish, highly polished theme with drop shadows, rounded corners, brilliant colors, and the best navigation of any RapidWeaver theme at that time. Creamy went on to be one of seyDoggy's best selling products, eventually leading to the creation of a wider version as well as a pair of versions for WordPress.
Creamy was reborn in early 2009 as Creamux, a completely rebuilt theme that incorporated both the narrow and wide versions of the original, and included more features and enhanced new technologies like ExtraContent. Just like its predecessor, Creamux went on to be one of seyDoggy's most popular themes.
"Creami3 carries on Creamy's great heritage of stunning looks and couples it with more power than even Creamux could dream of," says seyDoggy Lead Developer Adam Merrifield. "With the new smart navigation and smart layout abilities, almost any look is possible with Creami3. With the ability to detect what options you are using and which ones you are not, Creami3 intelligently sets up the best layout for you, by doing things like rounding corners when they need to be and displaying ExtraContent when it's present."
Creami3 is packed with a long list of great features, including 6 ExtraContent areas, built in slide show with 20 customizable banners, variable size rounded corners, many widths to choose from, sidebar width and positioning, and a great selection of typographical control. Merrifield says it is the intelligent features you don't see that are Creami3's greatest strength.
"Creami3 has brains, but it also has beauty and power too. Creamy was one of our most successful designs of all time for one reason: it just looks awesome. Now Creami3 can share that legacy, but with the addition of advanced, smart features in Creami3 are aware of each other and their standard feature counterparts. This means that Creami3 watches some of your style selections and acts accordingly where needed, leaving us to worry about how the theme should look and letting you worry about making great looking sites."
Creami3 uses seyDoggy's new smart navigation method to distribute the sub navigation components to their designated areas. The end result is a multi-tiered navigation system that is produced with 50% to 66% less markup for cleaner, more semantic code. seyDoggy has also employed the new HTML5 and CSS3 working drafts, and is fast-tracking their upcoming modern browser support policy by a few months as a result. Creami3 officially supports IE8 , Safari 4 , Firefox 3.5 , Opera 10.5 , and Chrome 5 . Creami3 can be used with IE7 but user experience may be somewhat hindered by speed.
As a seyDoggy Ultimate theme, Creami3 comes fully loaded with powerful features, including a built in slideshow, 3 tier smart navigation, rounded corners, ExtraContent, and a variety of others:
* CSS 3
* selectable, customizable slideshow
* 6 ExtraContent areas
* smart layout
* 20 customizable headers/ExtraContent backgrounds
* RWmultitool ready
* header height adjustment
* 3 tier, smart navigation

Creami3 is one of many RapidWeaver themes enabled with the popular ExtraContent feature, an open source collaborative technology that allows usable content spaces in RapidWeaver (e.g. built-in blog pages, photo albums, Flash slideshows, or iFrame pages) to be extended beyond what the application would normally allow, offering the user additional usable space and, along with that, a wide variety of new opportunities for enhanced creative expression. With ExtraContent, it is now possible to add a personal touch to previously unreachable areas of a page, by adding a lifestream (Twitter, LastFM, Delicious, etc.) below a blog page, adding a Web 2.0 footer to a site's file sharing page, or performing another of the many potential modifications.
