Flying Discs 1.0 Launched for iPhone - Brain Update, Fun and Contest

in Games (E)

[] Athens, Greece - Announcing Legal Radiation, the developer of Flying Discs, has released a unique game for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The application is a new product launch that took Beta testers by storm. Flying Discs is a reflex and mental sharpening game that the testers pronounced as extremely addictive and say that other games seem slow and dull by comparison. There is a kids' version included and developers are also offering a money contest*.

Legal Radiation put the Flying Discs app into Beta testing before the launch. The feedback received was strongly put by most of the testers, who indicated that they had never played a game quite like it. The pace is very fast and strategic decisions are required at every turn. After playing Flying Discs for up to fifty hours, testers reported that when they returned to other mobile games, the action felt too slow and the challenge just wasn't there for them anymore.

Flying Discs requires players to develop their reflexes and think fast. Legal Radiation refers to the personal strategy development as a 'brain update', as it exercises and stimulates a user's grey matter as they keep up with gameplay, which includes: hitting appropriately colored discs while avoiding harmful ones; creating combos; gauging time, distance and path of certain discs; completing timed, difficult challenges. Without a strategy, a user can't hope to proceed to new levels.

The interface is intuitive and user friendly. It was intentionally created that way so that users can focus on their game and rack up scoring points without having to think about how to use controls. One special feature that is bound to be a big hit with serious gamers is the OpenFeint feature, which will showcase achievements and leaderboard listings. Developers are including a children's version of Flying Discs for ages four to six years. The graphics are geared toward little ones, providing large, colorful images and easy play.
