Zevrix Releases BatchOutput 3.9.2 for InDesign - Improves Image Export

in Publishing (E)

[prMac.com] Toronto (ON), Canada - Zevrix Solutions today announces BatchOutput 3.9.2, a maintenance update to its popular professional solution to automate printing, exporting and post-processing from Adobe InDesign. Developed originally at one of the largest ad agencies in Canada to boost productivity of its prepress department, BatchOutput automates and simplifies workflow of printers, service providers and publishing houses.

BatchOutput is a workflow automation solution which interacts with Acrobat Pro preflight engine, provides file delivery capabilities, and integrates fully with the Finder. Users only need to select the files to output and adjust the settings, and the rest will be done automatically. The users can work with other programs while BatchOutput is running in the background. Or they can let it work while they're on a lunch break or even leave it working overnight to output hundreds of documents, and the job will be done when they return in the morning.

BatchOutput can also automatically preflight final PDF using Acrobat Pro droplets and even send the output files to FTP and local destinations complete with email notifications.

"BatchOutput has been the single biggest time-saver I've encountered in ten years of print production." - says Mike Agate, Head of Contents Production of Which?, Europe's largest consumer rights organization, - "Easily saves hours a week, producing bullet-proof, single-page PDFs, over and over. I run over 5,000 pages a year, plus their low-res online equivalents and, with the reduction in head count and efficiency savings, it must have paid for itself 500 times over."

BatchOutput automates printing as well as exporting to PDF, PostScript, EPS, Flash, INX, IDML and various image formats. It offers the following powerful capabilities:

* Print and export hundreds of InDesign files with a single click
* Output files as single pages
* Update links automatically
* Assign complex variable file names
* Preflight final PDF automatically with Acrobat Pro droplets
* Send final files automatically to FTP and locally

The new update suppresses InDesign color setting mismatch warnings during output. It also fixes an issue in which resolution of images exported from InDesign CS3 defaulted to 72 dpi regardless of BatchOutput settings. BatchOutput is also available as a server version which offloads printing and exporting to a central system by automatically processing InDesign files from hot folders.

Pricing and Availability:
BatchOutput 3.9.2 can be purchased from the Zevrix web site for $129.95 (USD), as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download.
