Bostorm released Safe Companion - Security Tool for iPhone, iPod touch

in Business (F)

[] Flensburg, Germany - Bostorm has released Safe Companion 1.2, their new free app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Safe Companion suggests passwords and stores your 4-digit PIN numbers in colored cards using a well-known method. No encryption is necessary for the PIN numbers, because only the user knows where to find the number again. Banks use the same method when they provide colored paper cards for their customers. The advantage with Safe Companion is, that the user can have as many cards as he needs and manage these on his iPhone or iPod touch.

Suggested passwords are configurable in length and content. Regardless, if the user wants a simpler password for a low security site or a complex password for securing a server for instance. You can configure passwords with a length spanning from 8 to 24 characters. A safe password has at least 8 characters and contains small and capital letters as well as digits and special characters. It is possible to configure the password letter types in the application configuration, but Safe Companion will always use at least two types, for example small letters and digits.

* The App makes use of the devices shake gesture for features like redo or undo
* Colorblind mode will show the colored PIN cards with symbols instead
* Configuration is handled in the setup section of the iPhone or iPod touch

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod touch
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
