Microsoft rolls out Office for Mac 2011 at The Northwest of Us

[] Palatine, Illinois - Microsoft will be our special guest at the next meeting of The Northwest of Us in Palatine, IL. They will be demonstrating the new version of Office 2011 for the Mac including the recently added Outlook for Mac. The presenter will be Microsoft's senior evangelist, Kurt Schmucker.

Of particular interest to corporate Mac users is the addition of Outlook for the Mac. It offers much improve compatibility with Exchange Server products used at the corporate level. You won't want to miss the ability to connect better in a corporation.

The Northwest of Us is the largest Mac only users group in the area with approximately 300 members. The group offers presentations on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Special interest groups meet through out the month for learning at all levels. The SIG groups include topics of interest on: internet and web design, genealogy, novice users, iphone/ipad/ipod, filemaker pro, and graphics. Workshops and programs are presented regularly for the iPhone, iPad and iPod. Special club discounts for software and hardware are available for members. Monthly and holiday raffles are also available.

Past presenters have been companies such as Adobe, Microsoft, ProSoft Engineering, ABT Electronics, Apple Computer, OWC, Miglia and other leading Macintosh vendors.

The Northwest of Us is a Macintosh User Group established in 1985 with over 300 members. It meets at the Hotel Indigo in Palatine Illinois on the second Saturday of every month.
