mooSoftware Releases TabletDraw 1.0 for Mac OS X

in Software (F)

[prMac.com] Marietta, GA - mooSoftware has released TabletDraw 1.0 which offers artists the long-awaited, natural drawing experience that the graphics tablet promised, but software never quite delivered. TabletDraw's SwiftCurve technology optimizes the graphic tablet's ability to detect the pen pressure and speed to mimic pen and ink behavior like no other graphics package on the market.

Frustrated by the on-screen lag and unnatural curve behaviors of even the most expensive drawing software, developer Spencer Cohen set out to create a drawing experience that duplicated the feeling of pen and paper. "I just wanted to be able to concentrate on what I was drawing, instead of the limitations of the software I was using." After almost a year in development and beta-testing, the result is a remarkably faithful drawing system that makes drawing on a graphics tablet seem uncannily like drawing on paper.

In a time when application sizes seem to be growing exponentially, TabletDraw weighs in at less than 5 megabytes. The streamlined approach to features and the elegant interface of TabletDraw 1.0 allow for a gratifying user experience.

Features:
* Ink Mode: block in color without obliterating your outlines
* Guide Images: trace a sketch or photo; like a digital light table
* Erase to Sealed: seal your current canvas and erase back to it later
* Tool Presets: like bookmarks for your pens and erasers

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.4 Tiger or higher
* Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel
* 4 MB Hard Drive space
* Graphics Tablet Recommended

TabletDraw 1.0 is distributed under a shareware license ($35 US) and is currently available for download.
