[prMac.com] Kitchener, Ontario Canada - RapidWeaver theme developer seyDoggy is celebrating an important anniversary this month - five years in business - and has launched SNo3, their latest smart theme, as part of their anniversary celebration.
"SNo3 aims to be a very smart, yet very clean theme, adding only the design elements required by your site's circumstances," says seyDoggy Lead Developer Adam Merrifield. "Exposing your content only as needed, SNo3 tries to keep the entire layout as simple as possible at all times. With the ability to detect which options you are using and which ones you are not, SNo3 intelligently sets up the best layout for you - rounding corners when they need to be rounded and displaying ExtraContent when it's present, for example."
SNo3 is packed with many great features (like 6 ExtraContent areas, built in slide show with 20 customizable banners, variable size rounded corners, many widths to choose from, sidebar width and positioning and a great selection of typographical control) but Merrifield says that it is the intelligent features you don't see that are SNo3's greatest strength.
"Smart themes like SNo3 allow you to worry less about theme settings and more about making a great looking site. In SNo3, you no longer need to use the option panel to turn bits of the layout on or off. SNo3 has a smart layout, smart enough to detect which portions of the site you are using and enable that part of the layout for you."
SNo3 uses seyDoggy's new smart navigation method to distribute the sub navigation components to their designated areas. The end result is a multi-tiered navigation system that is produced with 50% to 66% less markup for cleaner, more semantic code. A very popular feature in their other smart themes, SNo3 also employs seyDoggy's easy to use, built-in slide show, enabling users to treat their visitors to wonderful presentation of up to 20 transitioning banner images with only the click of a button.
As a seyDoggy Ultimate theme, SNo3 comes fully loaded with powerful features, including a built in slideshow, 3 tier smart navigation, rounded corners, ExtraContent, and a variety of others:
* CSS 3
* Selectable, customizable slideshow
* 6 ExtraContent areas
* Smart layout
* 20 customizable headers/ExtraContent backgrounds
* RWmultitool ready
* header height adjustment
* 3 tier, smart navigation
* sidebar width
* sidebar positioning
* comprehensive color control
* width control
* font size, style and line height control
seyDoggy has also adopted some future-forward design methods, employing the new HTML5 and CSS3 working drafts and fast-tracking their upcoming modern browser support policy by a few months as a result. SNo3 officially supports IE8+, Safari 4+, Firefox 3.5+, Opera 10.5+, and Chrome 5+. SNo3 can be used with IE7 but user experience may be somewhat hindered by speed.
Headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario Canada, seyDoggy is a privately funded company founded in 2005 by Adam Merrifield.
