in Entertainment (E)

[prMac.com] Sophia Antipolis, France - L'Escapadou has released Draw with Stars! 2.0 for the iPad and iPhone, the apps that lets you draw with animated stars, using colors extracted from the famous painting "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. Draw with Stars has received a lot of positive feedback through reviews on the store, in the press and via email:

Fun and beautiful app. "Draw with stars is a hit in our household, from the youngest to the oldest. Everyone wants a turn! It is a fun concept and beautifully executed."

Fantastic! "This app is hypnotic (in a good way), inviting and a real pleasure. It's the perfect toy. I try to look away from the spinning stars...but I cannot. No kidding, this is my new favorite app ever. Thanks!"

Fun to write with! "My 3 year old and 6 year old boys love this, and so do I. It's simple and the kids can be creative with it. The sound effects are light and charming."

This release is dedicated to our current users and L'Escapadou has added the features they requested:

* Easy Share:
Users create greeting cards, personalized invitations, love letters and other messages with the app, and they needed a simple way to send their creations via Twitter, Facebook and email. Parents also told us that they wanted to be able to easily share kids' creations with the family.

* Draw only mode:
One of the features that users love is stars flying away when you touch them. However, several users requested that this feature could be disabled temporarily, making it easier to complete an elaborate drawing. In particular, parents told us that their kids like to use the app for drawing letters, but that drawing some letters (like "A's") was difficult because stars were flying away as soon as they were touched.

* Better Background Image Support:
The feature allowing users to draw stars over a picture from the photo albums is very popular. Now, picture import, especially the picture orientation, is improved, and users can now use pictures taken with the iPhone camera.

* Toddler-proof optimization:
Toddlers love to draw stars and see them fly away, but some of them have a tendency to tap with their 10 fingers on the device very energetically! In the previous version, this sometimes resulted in the app freezing for some time, but new optimization has corrected this issue.

* Retina display for all iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 users:
Users asked for retina display support and they were right, drawings look even more stunning with retina display!

Other features, available in previous versions:
* Fully animated stars - spinning and glow/flare effect
* Stars turn into shooting stars with 3D-like animation when removed
* Choose average star size and pick color in the provided palette from Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry night"
* Choose star spinning mode
* Natural background sound and additional sound effects
* Multitouch: draw with your 10 fingers/several people can draw together

* Animated comets displayed in the background
* Universal App - buy it once and use it on your iPad and iPhone
