The revolutionary new mobile stat-tracking app, MVP Tracker, has been praised for its simplicity and graphics. Now with a tap the screen, anyone can experience the phenomenon first hand for free with the MVP Tracker (Basketball Edition) Lite. The high school developer shares his inspiring story on how his fathers brain aneurism inspired him to develop the MVP Tracker series.

"The MVP Tracker Series was inspired by my love of sports, and my father," stated developer Kyle Barber, a senior in high school. "As a kid, both playing and watching basketball was a huge passion. I grew tired of constantly logging on to different websites in order to find out who was doing better statistically among my favorite players. I spoke to my dad about this, and we started brainstorming ideas to make it easier. I wanted an application that would let me access this information in under 20 seconds, and since there were no apps that offered this service, we decided to make one."

After the initial idea had been settled, Barbers father, a professor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, suffered a massive brain aneurism.

"I was devastated after the events that occurred with my dad. I kept my trust in God, and stayed tight with my mom and brother during that time. I also became determined to finish the project that my dad and I had started," Barber recalled. "My dad was in a coma for about three weeks, then in rehab for about two months after. During that time I dedicated myself to the MVP Tracker applications. Being able to show my dad our project after he fought so hard for my family, going through seven brain surgeries, and complete rehabilitation of his right side, meant the world to me. I feel proud that I can share our project with the world." Barber continued to state, "I am proud to announce the release of my third installment of the MVP Tracker series. I made the MVP Tracker (Basketball Edition) Lite so everyone would have the chance to test my app. As a high school student, I appreciate when developers release free versions, so I decided to do the same.Ē

Barber hopes to enhance the series Baseball, Soccer, and Hockey Editions in the future. "Developing these applications has been an incredible experience. I hope that my support base continues to grow as I continue my development of quality iPhone applications. My dad beat all odds, and as a high school student, I hope to do the same with these iPhone applications. My goal is to become the most successful iPhone application series in the sports category of iTunes," concluded Barber.
