[prMac.com] Tempe, Arizona - Every Thursday night the gang gets together for their weekly Texas Hold'em tournament. No car titles or checkbooks, just a friendly game for bragging rights ... and maybe a little movie money at stake. Who has the egg timer? How much are the starting chips? What round do the antes start? It can be a hassle. Wouldn't it be great to have an app that handled all that effortlessly when Thursday night arrived? There is one ... and it can do a whole lot more.
Manic Pixel Media has announced the release of Pokernut Pro 1.0.3 for the iPhone. Bundled with three tournaments out of the box, playing a real tournament is only seconds away. Poker fanatics can create, customize and save their favorite tournament structures using any number of rounds and breaks. Round lengths, the amounts used for antes, small and big blinds are completely configurable from one easy to use round details screen. There's even a wizard to create custom tournaments based on the number of players and the desired length of the game.
A simple active tournament view provides all the information to keep the game running. Unique sounds signal the beginning of new rounds and breaks. Tournaments can be paused and restarted at any time. It's possible to edit upcoming rounds during an active tournament without affecting the original version. There's even a sixty second decision timer for players to can't make up their mind.
"We designed Pokernut Pro to be the right balance of features and ease of use", says Toby Ambrose, founder of Manic Pixel Media. "Tournament applications require a lot of features and we decided to focus on the home player who wants to get the game up and running as quickly as possible." Poker lovers, your life just got a whole lot easier.
