iTrump Embeds Trumpet In iPhone and iPod touch; Joins iBone in App Store

[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - Spoonjack, developer of the award winning 'iBone - the Pocket Trombone' today is pleased to announce the availability of iTrump - the Pocket Trumpet for iPhone and iPod Touch. iTrump not only lets users play along with music in their iTunes library, but also with songs from the iTrump Songbook, and even shows them how. iTrump combines an instrument, band, and game into a single application.

iTrump features an interface easy enough for anyone to use:
* Touch the display or blow into the microphone to produce a sound
* Tap the 'Valve Pads' to set the pitch
* Raise and lower the bell to change volume

In spite of its simplicity, iTrump stays remarkably true to the Trumpet. Capable of the Trumpet's standard notated range, users can slur up and down, trill, and add vibrato all while producing real Trumpet sound with real Trumpet fingerings. Not just a solo instrument, iTrump brings the band along too. Those who have developed the skills can accompany the lead or take the solo spot in any song from their iPod library. Those new to the iTrump and Trumpet may instead select from the iTrump Songbook. The Songbook features a selection of traditional and classical favorites, each with their own unique accompaniment. Introductory selections include:

* Theme from 2001 with Orchestra
* Air (on a G String) with Guitar
* Aura Lee with Piano
* Greensleeves with Accordion

Not only does iTrump provide the songs and the band, it also shows one how to play. A series of colored blocks fall in-tempo with the song and mark the position and time of the note. Users tap the blocks at the bottom of their fall to hit the right note at the right time. To hear what the song is supposed to sound like, users can activate roboTrump to play it for them.
