[prMac.com] Irvine, California - WEB MASTERS today is pleased to announce THE BOSS 1.2 for iOS, an update to their app that provides complete tracking, analysis, and management of Health, Coaching, Counseling, Wellness, or Fitness Training businesses. The app manages scheduling, income and expenses, clent sessions, class registration and attendance, client information, and referrals. An additional part of THE BOSS system is a website, which provides data backup, sync, profit and loss statements, data export to a spreadsheet or word processor, data import, in addition to all the functions of the iPhone app. THE BOSS makes extensive use of dynamic information retrieval which provides quick and accurate data input through entering a few letters and having the system present a list of possibilities for the complete entry.
The app functions in either portrait or landscape mode. On launch, six buttons are available from which to choose: Appointments, Add Client, Add Appointment Site, Add Appointment, Add Transaction, and View/Modify Client. Selecting any button opens its screen for data input or retrieval. The configuration and operation of all controls on the iOS app is identical with the controls on the OS X application. Upon opening the Appointments Screen six buttons are displayed: Last Week, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, This Week, and Next Week; a convenient method of thumbing through a virtual appointment book.
The Add Client Screen provides text fields for the following: First Name, Last Name, two Phone Numbers, Email Address, Address, City, State, and Zip. The Add Location screen allows the user to enter the physical address where they plan to meet with clients. The Add Appointment Screen makes full use of dynamic information retrieval. By simply tapping Client Name a prompt to "Enter a character or two" is displayed along with the pop-up virtual keyboard. After entering a letter or two the system will present a list of matching entries from which to choose. The Type of Appointment field brings up the iOS odometer display allowing the user to select Meeting or Client Session.

The Add Transaction Screen brings up a dated, detailed input form allowing for income or expenses to be classified as personal, business, or gift. In the case of training clients, a special section allows entry of the name and the number of sessions being paid for. Lastly, the View/Modify Client Screen allows full access to the complete client record simply by typing the first few letters of their name.
Support for class registration and attendance, suggested by a user of THE BOSS in Australia, adds 'class' as an appointment type and allows input of the class roster through the web site. Class attendance can be taken on the iPhone or through the website.
