Softmatic Barcode Maker now a Mac App Store exclusive - Slashes Price

[prMac.com] Burow, Germany - Softmatic today is pleased to announce the availability of Barcode Maker V4.0 in the Mac App Store. The best selling barcode software creates all common linear and 2D barcode symbologies for use in DTP, Office and graphics applications. An easy three step process lets everyone create standards compliant barcodes for package design, coupons, labels, book and magazine covers.
The software not only creates common linear codes like EAN and UPC but also a variety of 2D symbologies. These include the popular QR codes, a.k.a cellphone barcode, Datamatrix / Semacode and PDF417. Also featured is exhaustive support for all GS1 code symbologies including Code 128 GS1. A comprehensive implementation of the new DataBar codes which are set to replace EAN/UPC over the next years is also part of the software.
The generated bar codes can be exported in a variety of vector and raster formats (EPS, PNG, TIFF) for use in all common DTP, design, illustration, and graphics applications. To meet commercial requirements for barcodes, the software also features support for bar width reduction to compensate for ink spread and dot gain, light zone sentinels and bounding box markers. Typical applications include package design, book- and magazine covers, pharmaceuticals, labels, illustrations, advertisements.
