An iPhone App for Windows System Developers

February 16, 2011 in iOS Development

[prMac.com] Campbell, California - INFOMATO(R), Inc. today unveiled a new version of its iQuipment software that comes with both barcode and QR code reader functions. Windows(R) systems developers can quickly use the Apple(R) iPhone or iPod-Touch built-in camera feature to feed barcode and QR code data to a Windows application/database, and also use the mobile device as a terminal/kiosk to access the full blown functions of the Windows application.

iQuipment provides a unique offering by cutting the engineering cost and development time by at least ten fold. Following SDK examples, a Windows developer can integrate an iPhone barcode/QR code reader into the program in just one or two days. The developer does not need to write any iOS code, and does not need to worry about the complexity of secure communication between an Apple mobile device and the Windows system via a WiFi or phone network.

All the developer needs to do is (1) declare the variables in his/her Windows application for receiving and sending data to the Apple mobile devices, and then (2) design the UI (user interface) for setting and displaying the data on the mobile device. Again, no iOS coding is required; everything is done within a familiar Windows environment.

In short, The highlights for iQuipment software are:
1. A software SDK that allows Windows developers to design unique Apple iOS user interfaces in a Windows environment.
2. Make calls to Apple iOS native libraries.
3. Absolutely no Apple iOS coding is required.
4. Includes a ready to use barcode and QR code reader functions.
5. Protects privacy and security by using encrypted communication between Apple's mobile devices and a Windows system over a WiFi or phone network.
