Milano,  IT   Jun 25, 2008 in Utilities

[prMac.com] Milano, Italy - Altomac announced today the release of Speedy Mac, an innovative utility that speeds up the work with the Mac. Speedy Mac is a little and innovative utility that brings you the power to quickly open everything you need for your everyday work: documents, folders, applications, and sites.

Speedy Mac let users quickly access their favorite and recent documents, folders, sites and applications with a totally new approach. Speedy Mac lists your recently used web pages and your favorite pages, grouped by site. In this way you will quickly find a page you visited lately or a page you need to quiclky open. The same applies for the favorite and recently used documents: every entry is automatically placed inside its own application group.

The utility also sports an edited "Task" menu that enables you to accomplish quickly some useful tasks as: hide or quit all running applications at once; create a new folder establishing the name and the location of it before to create it, eject all removable and external disks at once and so on.

You can also create new tasks in minutes using Automator or Script Editor. Some additional tasks created by Speedy Mac users are already available for download, as for example: Optimize Mail Database, Take a Screen Shot choosing the format and Make File Names Web-Friendly.

Another innovative feature of this utility is the Current item menu. It lists where the document you are using is located in your hard drive to let you quiclky open the folder that contains it, in this way finding the location of the document you are using is a question of just opening a menu item.

Pricing and Availability:
Speedy Mac is available for $27.00 USD from the Altomac online store. A free Speedy Mac trial is available from the Altomac website. The trial provides a fully functional version of Speedy Mac that you can use and experiment with. While it includes all the features available in a licensed copy, the trial version will expire 30 days after you launch it for the first time.
