Deep Prose Releases Booxter 2.7 - Adds Barcode Scanning to iPhone App

[] Centreville, Virginia - Deep Prose Software today is pleased to announce the release of Booxter 2.7 for Mac OS X. Booxter helps customers manage their book, movie, music and comic book collections using multiple libraries and smart lists. Booxter supports both handheld and wireless barcode scanners and iSight video cameras to quickly add large numbers of items to a collection. Libraries can be exported for viewing on iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and iPod classic. Booxter is powerful, fun, and easy to use.

Version 2.7 improves on the free companion iPhone app, available from the App Store. Customers can now conveniently scan barcodes and have them sent directly into Booxter, wirelessly. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you now have a scanner. Other numerous improvements include adding Amazon Italy as a search site for books, music and movies, improving online searches, and enhancing the user interface.

* Booxter is localized in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Japanese

Pricing and Availability:
The Deep Prose web store sells Bluetooth barcode scanners which complement Booxter and provide a complete integrated solution for collectors. Booxter runs on Mac OS 10.4 through 10.6. The free version has a limit of 30 items for each library. The new lower price for the full version is $29.99 (USD).
