March 9, 2011 in Social Networking (E)
[prMac.com] Fullerton, California - Push your creative news forward and connect with a community of people passionate about the arts, whether it's design, film, fashion, photography, writing and music. While the amount of news being forced out by online mediums can be overwhelming causing artists to fight for attention, the Pushforward iPhone app offers a platform for artists to share their work and promote it through a forum dedicated to interest-specific news.
The artist-centered social community of Pushforward allows users to submit news, share photos, connect with other users, and post events and comments. Artists, promoters, enthusiasts and fans are all welcome in the Pushforward network. Launched by Orange County entrepreneur Christopher Hill in March 2010, the Pushforward app will be available for free March 6 through March 20th. Please inform your readers and/or artists, writers, promoters, etc.
Pushforward's 3 functions:
1. Help lift artists from the noise online
2. Submit art to be published and forwarded
3. Submit artist events to be promoted
Each day, Pushforward features a specific area in the arts:
* Artist Monday
* Portfolio Tuesday
* Film Wednesday
* Fashion Thursday
* Photography Friday
* Design On Saturday
* Read On Sunday
As well as art-specific features, there are hourly news posts from the "Social House" leadership in the Pushforward community, constant Twitter feed and postings from Pushforward members. The wall page offers a place for posting photos, news and thread conversations. The events page includes member-submitted events with contact information, map of the location, comments and photo features. You can sign into your account with Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare. The personal profile includes a "points chart," internal follow and following options, plus internal email options.
Pushforward is a community-based platform built for those passionate about the arts. The forum serves as an outlet for newsworthy topics within the arts industry, including art, design, film, fashion, photography, writing and music. The main goal of Pushforward is to help promote good art and design. We focus on specific content that adheres to your interests and then you "push forward" your favorite posts.
