March 10, 2011 in Music (E)
[prMac.com] Cleethorpes, United Kingdom - Avalore Studios have released their new iOS app dubbed 'AdAppella', which helps its users discover music used in popular, and not so popular, TV adverts. The app is available on the app store as of March 10th 2011 and is free, generating revenue from adverts placed within the app.
Finding music from TV adverts is a common and popular interest amongst music lovers with numerous websites dedicated to it, however many of these do not cater to a growing mobile audience. Other music discovery apps, do not cater to this audience as the adverts are short, not giving users enough time to launch the app, and the music is usually obscured by voice overs sometimes making it impossible for the app to find the track. AdAppella solves this problem by just catering users interested in TV advert music.
Louis Harwood, of Avalore Studios said: "Most TV adverts have put a lot of effort in to choosing appropriate and good quality music, why should I duplicate that effort when they've done it for me?", he also noted: "AdAppella was created to scratch our own itch, as most of the artists in our library have come from TV ads, we figured we like it so much that others must too".
The database of adverts and tracks in AdAppella is being updated daily to make sure the list is as comprehensive as possible. Users can browse adverts by date of release or by advertiser, view a video of the advert and can be taken straight to iTunes to purchase the track if they wish. AdAppella also has social sharing for Twitter and Facebook built it making it even easier for users to tell their friends about the music they find.
