Scrivener Hits Mac App Store

in Software (E)

[] Truro, United Kingdom - Literature & Latte Ltd is pleased to announce the release of Scrivener 2.0.5, their content-generation tool for writers, on the Mac App Store.

"The Mac App Store is a fantastic way for users to find great software they might not otherwise have come across, and we're really excited about being a part of it," said Scrivener's creator, Keith Blount. "We continue to sell Scrivener direct on our site, but new users who prefer to manage all their applications through the App Store now have that option as well."

Press Kit:
A full press kit is available on request, containing sample projects, high resolution branding and logos, screenshots for download and some helpful notes for reviewers.

Notes For Editors:
Launched in 2007, Scrivener is an application that stays with you from that first, unformed idea all the way through to the first or even final draft. It won't try to tell you how to write - it just makes all the tools you have scattered around your desk available in one application.

Key features include:

* Edit Multiple Documents:
Create limitless documents in the same project and edit them separately or merge them dynamically and edit them as a whole.

* Corkboard:
Virtual index cards store a synopsis for every document you create. Storyboard and rearrange your project by moving them around on the corkboard.

* Outlining:
A fully-featured outliner helps you take control of your work's structure.

* Keywords:
A powerful keywords system keeps track of characters, themes or ideas.

* Full Screen Editing:
View your text in full screen for distraction-free composition.

* Export:
Export your finished draft to your favourite word processor for final formatting, including support for footnotes, annotations and images.

* Publish:
Export to the epub format directly, allowing export of manuscripts for reading on a Sony Reader, in iBooks on the iPad or for e-publishing. Scrivener 2.x includes support for cover images, footnotes and structured tables of contents.

Scrivener was launched on 20 January, 2007. It has been enthusiastically adopted by bestselling novelists, screenwriters and novices alike. Testimonials can be viewed on the literature and latte website.

System Requirements:
Like the App Store itself, Scrivener on the MAS runs on OS X 10.6.6 and above only (the non-MAS version continues to run on Tiger and above).

* Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later
* 19.1 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Scrivener 2.0.5 is $44.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. For review copies, additional information, images or interviews with Scrivener's developer Keith Blount, please contact us.
