[prMac.com] Portage, Indiana - In partnership with Concord Hospital urologist and Dartmouth Adjunct Assistant Professor Dr. Ronald L. Yap, 9magnets LLC has developed two new medical iPhone applications to help men and women monitor their prostate health.
Available for free in the iTunes App Store, Prostate Pal 2 allows men to track liquid intake and output through an intuitive voiding diary, take and track AUA test scores, and graph PSA score data over time. When used in conjunction with a healthcare provider, men can use Prostate Pal 2 to track their health and provide more accurate information to a physician, allowing for better treatment and improved health. It is the sequel to the original Prostate Pal, with additional user optimizations and an email export mode.
Bladder Buddy is a sister application to Prostate Pal 2, offering a refined feature set and interface designed to be more gender neutral. Through utilizing Bladder Buddy, men and women can track liquid input and output, AUA score results, and much more.
While medical software can often be expensive and difficult to understand. Eliminating cost and complexity were two goals of the project, allowing for users to pick up their iPhone or iPod touch and immediately make use of the application. Through intuitive interface design paired with code optimized for speed and fluidity, patients have access to a leading iOS application without cost.
"We're excited to work with Dr. Ronald Yap on a second set of urology applications for the iPhone. Dr. Yap is without a doubt, one of the leading innovators in the country with regards to offering simple and useful medical applications on iOS, and we feel honored to be able to partner with him again for Prostate Pal 2 and Bladder Buddy." said 9magnets co-founder Cameron Banga.
Prostate Pal 2 and Bladder Buddy are the fourth and fifth medical applications from 9magnets LLC, who is quickly building up an expansive portfolio of health-based applications for the iPhone and iPad. In July, the team released an application for kidney stone patients in partnership with University of Chicago urologist Dr. William Johnston. Recently, the team also released iPodiatrist in coordination with Dr. Alec Hochstein.
