[prMac.com] Chesapeake, Virginia - Tasty Cocoa Software has announced Music Marquee 1.0, its sleek, and beautiful scrobbler for Last.fm. With a simple tap on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch), you can track the music you listen to on Last.fm. The marquee interface, with its blinking lights, adds instant appeal as a song is playing. Listeners are engaged in their music while the application does all the work to help Last.fm build a song list of recommended artists and songs based on the listener's tastes.
"We wanted to give music aficionados a sleek and simple tool to make music sharing and tracking effortless."
Users need only to configure their username and password upon initial configuration with a service or when passwords are reset. Enabling or disabling a service is handled by tapping a button so the user can easily resume listening to songs. While a user is listening to a song and if the service is enabled, the application sends the current song information over the devices network. On the receiving end, Last.fm will in real-time update the listener's profile with the current song being played.
The marquee application will send a second notification to Last.fm if the song that was played met the last.fm scrobbling criteria. Listeners are introduced to new artists, notified of artists' upcoming concerts, and album releases...all of this happens easily with the help of Music Marquee.
Tasty Cocoa Software is currently working on future enhancements by enabling posting updates to Twitter, Facebook, Ping.fm, FriendFeed, and Tumblr. Current and future Music Marquee users will be able to share their musical interests with others easily from a single application.
