[prMac.com] Berlin, Germany - We are all victims of stress and hectic. It is worthwhile to escape the pressure of "being on the clock" and to ensure an immediate deceleration. The Universal-App TIMEframed helps with this process and installs on the iPhone, the iPod touch or the iPad a clock that uses words instead of numbers. It also offers a black display on white background to compliment the white iPhone or iPad.
In a nutshell:
* App TIMEframed displays the time in words instead of numbers
* Display in English (American or British) or German
* Can be set to one's own time
* Optional hourly chime
* Two display modes: White on black or black on white
* Brightness can be adjusted
* Display transferable from iPad 2 via HDMI to TV
* Universal-App for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
* Price: 1.99 Dollar (UK 1.19; AU$ 2.49; NZ$ 2.59; EUR 1.59)
"Quarter to eleven": Words like these are presented by the virtual clock TIMEframed on the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. This unusual display of time effects the viewer immediately in two ways.
On the one hand the clock app is reminiscent of a refined design piece that impresses through its distinctive look. Mobile Apple-devices are transformed - by placing them in a stand - into stationary design objects that can be used permanently as a clock either in the office or at home. The bright white script on the black background shows the time even in the dark. Beautiful cross fades provide additional effects.
On the other hand, the text display clearly achieves a feeling of deceleration. A friendly "noon" or "almost five thirty" generates not nearly as much internal stress as a clock that displays digits for each passing second.
CEO Jan Schulenberg notes: "It is important to evade the pressure of time and to recharge the internal batteries. During periods of burn-out it is very comfortable to use a clock that does not pay attention to every minute and is an exquisite piece of decoration as well."
TIMEframed gets the time on the TV, supports the white iPhone and iPad
TIMEframed works without difficulty in the upright as well as the diagonal view. The internal options of the app can be reconfigured (to call up the menu tap the clock twice). This way the language of the clock can be changed. Perhaps to German. Other languages like Italian and Spanish are in preparation.
An hourly chime may be activated or the pre-assigned time can be substituted with someone's own. The automatic screen lock should be turned off when the device is connected to a power cord so that the unit does not turn dark after a few minutes.
Very popular is the feature that transfers the image of the clock from the iPad 2 - via a HDMI-adapter with appropriate cable - directly to a TV. This turns the TV into an unusual, decorative piece that will certainly provide material for discussion among friends and might prove more relaxing than any TV show.
One feature of TIMEframed is that the clock supports the white iPhone and the white iPad. A new display "black on white" may be selected. This way the display of the clock adapts perfectly to the white casing of the mobile device. Another feature is the adjustable brightness of the display based on requirements.
And for those who have already been to the world famous "Oktoberfest" in Munich and have leaned some Bavarian-German words: As a special, the clock's language might also be set to Bavarian-German.
