Stockpeek Makes Use of Smart Cover In New Financial App For Investors

in Finance (E)

[] New York, New York - Toughturtle LLC today is pleased to announce the launch of the Stockpeek App, a native iPad application that gives users an intuitive way to interact with their investments. Stockpeek is the first financial app on the market to interact with Apple's magnetic Smart Cover - an accessory that automatically wakes up the iPad when lifted up at the corner.

The app utilizes the Smart Cover to present easy-to-read and interactive scrolling stock tickers by simply lifting up a portion of the Smart Cover. Opening the cover completely and tapping individual symbols in the scrolling stock ticker will open up a wide variety of information about that symbol, including detailed summary information, full screen charts, and news articles. By enabling users to get a fast and sneaky way to digest stock information, Stockpeek is a new and exciting way to track the stock market. Stockpeek is available for 0.99 from the iTunes App Store.

Of course, all versions and generations of the iPad device can run the Stockpeek app, not just iPad2 and Smart Cover users. You get all the same functionality and information, just not the ability to 'peek' at the tickers.

Simply tap a stock symbol in any of the three scrolling tickers and an information panel slides out for instant access to detailed information, stock news, full-screen charts, and more. Tap the add icon to quickly lookup and save stock symbols to your own custom watchlist. Choose from worldwide markets with a 15 minute delay, or real-time data for US -based securities. Stockpeek comes outfitted with a customizable index ticker as well, that touts 55 worldwide index symbols. Also included is another scrolling ticker which offers up the daily Most Active, Leading Gainers, and Leading Losers stocks from the US markets.

"Stockpeek sets a new standard, allowing users to track and research stock information effortlessly," said Todd Barnes, Lead Developer, Toughturtle LLC. "Designed from the ground up to take advantage of iPad's format and interface, Stockpeek is easy to use, fast and streamlined, giving users a wealth of information in just one or two taps."

Stockpeek takes full advantage of iPad's unique capabilities, providing a streamlined, fast and friendly interface for all levels of investors to track and monitor the stock market, whether on the couch or on the go. Highlights include:
