[prMac.com] Graz, Austria - Individual developer Gerald Aquila announced today that the public beta of his Firetask cloud-syncing solution is now available. The new cloud service is free for basic syncing and allows to easily sync your task repositories between any number of Macs, iPads, iPhones and iPod touches. The Firetask update also improves on the overall task management capabilities of the apps and adds a number of often-requested behavior changes. The Mac version features the most changes with extensive drag & drop capabilities and support for Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).
"With our new cloud-syncing, users can now really easily take their tasks with them wherever they go", said Gerald Aquila. "Adding drag & support support for the Mac was also crucial. Changing task statuses or moving them between projects or categories by dragging them around simply feels much more natural and intuitive."
Firetask lets you focus on the most important due and next tasks across all projects by combining concepts from David Allen's Getting Things Done(R) GTD(R) approach with practical elements of classical task management such as due dates and priorities. Its unique "Waiting For" list makes it easy to keep track of delegated tasks and its highly visual user interface improves the clarity of task lists without overloading them. Unlike other task management apps, Firetask explicitly organizes all tasks into projects and thus, makes it easier to manage great numbers of open tasks. Firetask for iPad also features a kanban-style "Organize" view that was specifically designed to help GTD(R) practitioners with their weekly review.
