MacBreakZ 5.02 adds support for Growl notifications

August 11, 2011 in Software

[prMac.com] Luxembourg City, Luxembourg - publicspace.net has announced MacBreakZ 5.03. MacBreakZ is an integrated solution designed to address the entire spectrum of computer related health problems, ranging from eyestrain, headaches, neck, wrist, elbow and back pain to more severe Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI), including carpal tunnel syndrome, writer's cramp, tendonitis, etc.

This latest release adds support for Growl notifications.

MacBreakZ offers a unique way of acquiring life-enhancing ergonomic skills that can prevent much discomfort and protect its users from serious health and career-threatening injury.

The break reminder component of MacBreakZ features sophisticated keyboard and mouse monitoring (without invading the user's privacy) that allows it to react to individual computer usage patterns. Moreover, MacBreakZ promotes behavior modification by providing users with real-time feedback on the healthfulness of their observed work patterns.

Based on actual keyboard and mouse use and the time spent in front of the screen, MacBreakZ suggests rest and micro breaks at appropriate intervals. MacBreakZ includes a set of 42 fully illustrated stretching exercises that are designed to reduce muscular tension, improve posture and strengthen appropriate muscle groups. It also features dozens of valuable ergonomic tips.

MacBreakZ features a sophisticated setup assistant that ensures that the user starts out with a basic configuration that suits their own individual needs and preferences. These preferences can be further refined by using the comprehensive customization options.

Computer users who take few or no rest breaks during their normal work hours are particularly at risk from severe, career-threatening injuries but typically find it hardest to break out of their health-threatening and unproductive work patterns. MacBreakZ addresses this problem with its unique "adaptation period" feature which can smoothly and gradually move the user from a regime without any breaks to the desired frequency and length of rest breaks over a period of weeks or months.

MacBreakZ is popular for both RSI recovery and prevention.
