TwoUp releases the iPhone - iPod touch version of Crops 1.2

in Lifestyle (F)

[] Antwerp, Belgium - TwoUp announced the release of the universal version of Crops 1.2. Following the positive response to Crops for the iPad, they now bring the regional seasonal calendar app to the iPhone and iPod touch. Crops was developed to support people in buying locally grown fruits and vegetables. Buying local food helps preserve the environment while supporting your local farmers. Plus, local products are of the best quality and taste, making them the best ingredients to work it.

Crops works with known harvest data from local produces, focusing on what's available near you. With local harvest for all US-states, Belgium and the Netherlands, Crops has nearly 4000 different results for various types of fruits and vegetables. Crops for iPhone and iPod touch was build with the same familiar, easy-to-use interface known from the original iPad version.

Based on the user's own region, results are listed under 'fruits' or 'vegetables'. A simple, clear calendar displays all local harvest periods for available products, sorted over the different seasons. Browse through the seasons to have a look over the year and discover what next seasons have to offer. More information about any fruit or vegetable is only a tap away. A smaller detail-screen will appear each time a result is selected, providing an image for recognition and a small text with description of the selected species.
