MarkMyWords 1.3.0 - The markup-writing environment

in Software (F)

[] Wangerland, Germany - Xelaton Software has announced the release of the third major update of MarkMyWords 1.3, the text-editor specifically aimed at authors, bloggers and developers who write and format articles for the web. By offering easy ways to format and structuring articles for the web and retaining platform-independent by using plain text documents, MarkMyWords is the ideal writing environment for articles being published on the net.

MarkMyWords supports a wide range of Markup-Languages like Markdown, Multimarkdown, Textile, Wikitext, BBCode and HTML. While writing the actual article, a preview is being displayed immediately for the writers to see the actual output as it would be displayed in a standard web-browser.

With version 1.3.0 MarkMyWords gains several new functions and possibilities to its existing rich feature-set to give writers even more control, more preferences to adjust the look and feel and more features to ease the writing-process.

Following new major features have been added to MarkMyWords 1.3.0:
* Support for new Lion-features
As of version 1.3.0 MarkMyWords supports some of the new features of OSX Lion like the new Fullscreen-Mode. The existing Fullscreen-Mode of MarkMyWords has been renamed to Distraction-Free-Mode. Additionally MarkMyWords now supports Versions, which can be turned on/off using the preferences of MarkMyWords, giving users full control over the way MarkMyWords auto-saves files. Last but not least, the newly introduced search-bar for text areas can be used in MarkMyWords 1.3.0.
* Statusbar-feature
The newly introduced statusbar-feature allows quick importing of text-snippets from nearly any OSX-application with just two clicks to any open MarkMyWords-documents or to new documents. The hassle of copy/paste and application switching is yesterdays news.
* New look
MarkMyWords 1.3.0 introduces a new look for the toolbar giving it a more compact appearance and new features like the new HTML-Code/Webpreview switcher giving writers more options and control how MarkMyWords works for them.
* Improved file-browser
