[prMac.com] Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom - Lightwood Games today is delighted to release Jigsaw Party, the first competitive jigsaw puzzle app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Jigsaw Party enables players to compete in a real time race with each other by simultaneously doing the same jigsaw puzzle. Not content with just this innovative game mode, Jigsaw Party also features a solo mode for completing jigsaws in a relaxing untimed setting using pictures from the diverse and constantly growing puzzle library.
Building on their overwhelming success with Word Search Party, Lightwood Games designed Jigsaw Party to add friendly competitiveness to another traditionally solo activity. Everyone who has completed a jigsaw puzzle knows the satisfaction of putting in the final piece, but this feeling is now considerably stronger when players can beat their opponent by placing more pieces. There is always someone to challenge to a Jigsaw Party; users can either invite a friend, or be matched against the next available opponent.
In terms of the jigsaw puzzles themselves, whether playing in Party or Solo mode, users can choose from hundreds of photos in the ever increasing puzzle library, which has been organised to make finding that perfect puzzle easy. For those who prefer a surprise, they can have the picture selected at random. After completing the jigsaw, players get to rate the picture, and these ratings are used to create the 15 top rated pictures which are free to all Jigsaw Party users.
