Free Macbook Pro Raffle Offered to Final Cut Seminar Attendees

[prMac.com] Agoura Hills, CA - Internationally-renowned editor, director and Apple-certified trainer Larry Jordan is offering a free raffle entry to win Apple Inc.'s newly released MacBook Pro to all attendees of his nationwide 2008 PowerUP with Final Cut Studio seminars.

The PowerUP with Final Cut Studio seminar series is targeted to both new and experienced Final Cut Studio editors interested in enhancing their skills. The 2008 seminars were designed to provide answers not covered in any Apple-Certified course on Final Cut Pro. Adobe(R) Creative Suite(R) 4 Production Premium, Adobe Systems Inc.'s newly released version of its cross-platform video toolset, is also a featured element of the tour.

Cities on the PowerUP tour, which began September 8, 2008, included New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C., Sacramento, San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Charleston, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver. Jordan concludes the seminar tour with his last two stops in Vancouver (October 30-31) and Los Angeles (November 7-8).

The seminar series include three sessions presented by Jordan: Succeeding in the New World of Tapeless & HD Video, Integrating Adobe Products into a Final Cut Workflow, and Discover the Hidden Power in Final Cut Studio.

"Succeeding in the New World of Tapeless & HD Video" focuses on choosing the best high-definition video format, troubleshooting tips, selecting the right equipment, and selecting from an ever-changing array of video formats, acquisition technology, storage devices and workflows. (4-hours, $179/session.)

"Integrating Adobe Products into a Final Cut Workflow" showcases how to use powerful but little known Adobe software features to do what can't be done in Final Cut Studio. This seminar presents new techniques like video retouching in Photoshop, creating Blu-ray Discs in Encore, tracking and organizing files in Bridge, and moving projects between After Effects and Final Cut Pro. (4-hours, $179/session.)

"Discover the Hidden Power in Final Cut Studio" is designed for the experienced editor looking to make the most of their tools. The seminar covers topics including repairing poor audio, high-power audio mixing tools, surround-sound mixing, video compression for SD-DVD, Blu-ray and Flash, and more. (8-hour intensive, $299.)
