[prMac.com] Agoura Hills, CA - Internationally-renowned editor, director and Apple-certified trainer Larry Jordan is bringing his 2008 PowerUP with Final Cut Studio seminar tour to a close in Los Angeles, November 7-8, at the Courtyard Los Angeles/Sherman Oaks.
Jordan, also a noted author, trainer, and featured speaker at Final Cut User Groups across the country, designed his 2008 seminars to provide answers that are not covered in any Apple-Certified course on Final Cut Pro.
"This year's seminar tour has been amazing," said Jordan. "I've been fascinated by all the different ways people are using video across the country. This tour has grown with lots of ideas from everyone who attends. This last presentation in LA allows me to showcase everything we've learned that can help editors make the most of this technology."
The PowerUP with Final Cut Studio seminar series is targeted to both new and experienced Final Cut Studio editors interested in enhancing their skills. Adobe(R) Creative Suite(R) 4 Production Premium, Adobe Systems Inc.'s newly released version of its cross-platform video toolset, is also a featured element of the tour.
Jordan will be presenting three seminars in Los Angeles: Succeeding in the New World of Tapeless & HD Video, Integrating Adobe Products into a Final Cut Workflow, and Discover the Hidden Power in Final Cut Studio.
Succeeding in the New World of Tapeless & HD Video focuses on choosing the best high-definition video format, troubleshooting tips, selecting the right equipment, and selecting from an ever-changing array of video formats, acquisition technology, storage devices and workflows. (4-hours, $179/session.)
Integrating Adobe Products into a Final Cut Workflow showcases how to use powerful but little known Adobe software features to do what can't be done in Final Cut Studio. This seminar presents new techniques like video retouching in Photoshop, creating Blu-ray Discs in Encore, tracking and organizing files in Bridge, and moving projects between After Effects and Final Cut Pro. (4-hours, $179/session.)
Discover the Hidden Power in Final Cut Studio is designed for the experienced editor looking to make the most of their tools. The seminar covers topics including repairing poor audio, high-power audio mixing tools, surround-sound mixing, video compression for SD-DVD, Blu-ray and Flash, and more. (8-hour intensive, $299.)
In every seminar, Jordan designates ample time for answering the attendees' most challenging technical questions to provide detailed, personalized solutions. Sessions include take-home workbooks, valuable editing tools, sponsor-provided giveaways, and a free raffle entry to win a new MacBook Pro.
In addition to Los Angeles, other cities on the PowerUP tour included New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C., Sacramento, San Diego, Miami, Dallas, Charleston, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver.
