[prMac.com] Colville, Washington - Hachisoft has announced FileBender 1.1 for iPad is now available in the App store, giving business and casual iPad users a new robust tool for easy file management. FileBender lets users view and manage their files and folders, seamlessly interact with Cloud storage accounts, local iPad media, and files found on their Mac or PC. Files can be downloaded to their local drive for access on the go.
"Files from a variety of sources make up our digital existence," Said Tyler Edwards, President Hachisoft, "We discovered a need for an app that consolidated access and management of files regardless of the file format or location." FileBender gives iPad users access to their local iPad media, Cloud storage on Box.net, GoogleDocs, and Dropbox, and files from their local Mac or PC via WiFi or iTunes.
More than a PDF viewer, FileBender lets users go beyond opening files. "We wanted users to be able to see, hear, share and present a wide variety of file formats. Simplified file management of the Bender Tray allows users to bend files to their will." said Caleb Edwards, who oversaw development of FileBender's user interface. Users can drag and drop files into the Bender Tray to build a selection. From there they have the power to perform a variety of actions to the selection of file(s) within the Bender Tray: delete, move, rename, lock, archive (.zip), email, and upload or download files to or from the Cloud.
FileBender was designed for a variety of uses. The app has expanded PDF viewing capabilities including: search within the full document text, show or hide annotations, access to web links, printing to AirPrint capable printers, multiple page viewing, bookmarks and more. The app supports a variety of other file formats as well: Microsoft Office files, high resolution and camera raw image formats, comic books, e-books, movies, archives and web and text files.
In addition to viewing and playing files, FileBender offers users multi-tasking tools. Users can take pictures with the document camera (iPad 2.0 required) and record notes, meetings or lectures with the audio recorder. The built-in audio Player can be used while still viewing or managing files. The search tool includes filtering to help users find exactly what they are looking for.
Designed to be powerful enough for business yet versatile enough for personal use, FileBender boasts a variety of functions and tools that places it among top iPad file managers and viewers.
FileBender is the first of Hachisoft's mobile productivity content. It joins a variety of other quality mobile apps such as Hand Painted - Animals, Baseball Bull Pen, Basketball Shot Chart, Scorecast, and The Pitching Pad.
