[prMac.com] Cohoes, New York - Take control of Furious George, and challenge World Terror in a test of skill and reflexes! It's the classic target-whacking action you know and love, in it's most unique incarnation yet!
"I made an iPhone game... it's like those arcade machines where you use a mallet to hit the animals that pop out of the holes" explains creator of Furious George vs World Terror(TM) and Optimum Computer Games(TM) co-founder Chris Sweeney. "It's a familiar premise, with unique character and personality."
Virtually all development of Furious George vs World Terror(TM) was done by Chris, in spite of his lack of any formal background in programming. The open-source 2d graphics framework "cocos2d" was employed; cocos2d builds on Apple's technology, and provides a powerful and versatile tool set to put images and animation on the screen, with the speed and efficiency required for real-time games. "In the beginning of the video game industry, typically a commercial game was developed primarily by a single person, and it's great that this is possible again."
