[prMac.com] Flensburg, Germany - Bostorm released the lifestyle App containing high resolution photos of wildlife and landscape oil paintings.
Thirty oil paintings by Martin J. Rehder from 2011 and 2012 were selected and photographed. Each photo was then especially adapted to the retina and non-retina displays of the iPads, iPhones and iPod Touchs.
The original oil paintings were created using the wet-on-wet technique, which is primarily known from the numerous Bob Ross TV show episodes. There are the following categories of images:
* Forest themes
* River themes
* Mountain themes
* Night series, dark themes
* Winter themes
* Buildings and structures
The originals vary in sizes. The most common size is 70cm by 50cm, but there are also paintings with larger and smaller sizes. For the App, all sizes were normalized to show as full screen images.
The App allows to print to AirPrint and has built-in slideshow. Furthermore, the universal App makes full use of both landscape and portrait viewing of the device. Photos can be selected from a scrollable selection bar at the bottom or by swiping left and right on the image. In order to have the full impression, the menus will hide when the user touches an image or automatically after some seconds.
The printing will use the highest quality variant of the photos and applies the best fitting orientation and size to the printout.
* iOS 5.1 or later
* iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
* 257 MB
