Create crowd-sourced location-based visual bookmarks with iPhone

[prMac.com] Raleigh, North Carolina - Pariahware, Inc., today is pleased to announce the launch of Storemarks v1.1, its crowd-sourced visual bookmarking iOS application. Storemarks v1.1, which runs on iOS 5.0 or newer, is faster and more efficient than the previous versions, and is also now localized for English, Spanish, Italian, German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and French language users.
Storemarks is a different type of location-based crowd sourced app which allows people to help each other and themselves find products that are difficult to locate when out shopping. With the introduction of Storemarks, members can search for and create locations, typically stores, and then visual "bookmarks" (Storemarks), for themselves and others to use later by taking pictures of the aisle & shelf. Since Storemarks are public other members will be able to find products already entered, and if a Storemark is inaccurate, flag it for removal.
"We have put a lot of effort to improve the user experience for Storemarks. The speed improvements we've made lessens the demand on members' data plans. With the addition of six new languages, more members will be able to create storemarks in the language of their choice," said Christian Miller, Pariahware President. "Unlike other location based apps, members are our customers; they are not the product. The days of wandering around a store aimlessly will soon be a thing of the past."
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 3.6 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Storemarks 1.1 is currently introductory priced at $0.99 USD, and it normally priced at $2.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store. Non-Members can visit Storemarks online for more information.
