New release of the new MacOSX freeware application FormulaCalculator

in Utility (F)

[] Sarpsborg, Norway - The Calculator falls into the category of Financial/Scientific/Math calculators. It has many features, such as a built-in function library for calculation of trivial tasks that often need a complex formula. It has 48 such formula functions and 74 unit converter functions that convert between different units in the area of weight, length, volume and temperature. Another feature, formulas used from the function library are automatically documented in the log window as to what formulas it has used to complete the calculations. This is necessary if you write a report, and need to document how the results are obtained.

Other features are variables and constants that can be edited in the preferences. Such constants are automatically saved in a store-file, so you have them available in later calculations.

The idea was to create a calculator with a familiar user-interface that looks like an ordinary calculator, but then have more advanced functions to those who need covered in side-drawers that are not visible by default. The developer has baked in a formula library, where a lot of standard formulas are defined as functions. Functions that are easy to use, and give the expected result. To make the functions easier to use, there is a "request parameter model" that asks for the parameters in plain english. Thus, the user does not need to remember the details, or look up details another place.

The Application can be run on all Intel Macs, with OSX 10.7 or later installed.
