Josh Holat Software Releases Omniscient, iCardCounter, and Nonsensical

in Games (F)

[prMac.com] Big Bend, Wisconsin - Three of Josh Holat's applications, Omniscient, iCardCounter, and Nonsensical have become available for purchase on the iTunes App Store. Each app is $.99, but each app also offers its own form of fun and usefulness. Everyone is encouraged to check them out and enjoy them. They work on both the iPhone and iPod Touch running 2.2.1 software or newer. They are available starting today and will be for a long time.

iCardCounter
iCardCounter is a game that allows you to experience the thrill of counting cards right on your iPhone! (Note: I do not condone actual card counting in real casinos) With a custom interface and how to play instructions, you'll be counting like a pro in no time. The game includes actual cards, so the experience is almost like being in an actual casino.

Current settings include the ability to change the amount of cards the game shows (between 2 and 104) and the amount of time between those cards (0 to 3 seconds). The shorter you make the delay, the harder the game is. At the end, you are asked for the count.

The inspiration for this app came from the MIT Blackjack Team, the movie 21, and the need for money to get into college. I assure you that it is a really fun game, and I have already gotten a few of my friends addicted to it. I have a list of plenty of new features that will be added as the app progresses so look for some exciting news coming out about this app.

Omniscient
Omniscient is the perfect application for playing jokes on all of your friends. With a fresh interface, this application offers the perfect way to freak your friends out.

Here's how it works: To begin, you type in the answer to the question. As you do this, "Please Answer:" will appear so the person you are fooling doesn't see the answer. After the answer, type an "x" followed by the actual question for the answer. The question will appear in the question area as you type. When you are done typing it, simply hit "Answer" to show your friend the answer and fool them!

Due to the way it was created, it can answer any and every single question you ask it (provided that you yourself know the answer). Your friends will think your iPhone knows everything, it's perfect.

Nonsensical
Nonsensical is an application full of random and weird questions that really make you think about our everyday life and language. The questions are meant to be anywhere form hilarious to serious, with a touch of truth to each one. The hope is that you get a nice little moment of realization after reading each one.

Currently there are 80 questions for you to enjoy. Examples include, but are not limited to:
"If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?"
"If you make a cow laugh, will milk come out of its nose?"
"How come you press harder on a remote when you know the battery is dead?"
"Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?"
"How you can you die of old age?"

Those questions, along with plenty more will be great for some laughs throughout your day. There is also the ability to submit your own from inside the application itself. If Twitter is your thing, feel free to use #nonsensical to discuss or submit even more questions you think of.
