Fire Station App Enables Kids To Watch Real Firefighters

[prMac.com] Arlington, Massachusetts - Jumpseewow has introduced Fire Station 1.0 for iOS. Children can swipe and move through an illustrated world with Clover the bunny, and tap and discover ten short documentary videos as well as whimsical animations. While watching the videos children will learn new vocabulary and experience an information-rich virtual field trip to the fire station. More than twenty-five minutes of documentary videos are included in the app. Designed for children ages three to eight.

Fire Station was created in cooperation with the Arlington Fire District of Poughkeepsie, NY and Mamadou Artisan Bakery of Winchester, MA.

A portion of the proceeds from this app will be donated to the American Burn Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by burn injury.

Fire Station is the second app released by Jumpseewow. Firefighter Dress-up, a creative play app for the iPhone/iPad/iPod, was released on December 11, 2012.

Located in Arlington, Massachusetts, Jumpseewow, Inc. is a small, independent creator of educational content for children. Jumpseewow is a husband and wife team. Julie E. Rosenberg has a background in documentary television production and earned a Master's in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Niels Burger is an artist and teacher and earned a Master's of Fine Arts from Boston University. They are also the parents of a 5-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son.
