[prMac.com] Paris, France - Independent development team Hu Yong Jie and Etienne Nguyen Tan Hon has announced the release of their new generation of painting app, SketchBlock for iPad.
First, SketchBlock specially focuses on various pen and brush effects (pencil, pen, chalk, brush, blender). Besides the digital brushes with smooth lines and gradual saturation, the developers have spent months on research of oil and watercolor painting effects.
After the success of Drawing Box for iOS, the developers want to offer a deeper and more complete painting tools for frequent and advanced painters. SketchBlock is more devoted to painting than other graphical activities, and the provided tools are more accurate for deeply finished artworks. With SketchBlock you can even draw a quick sketch or make a professionally finished work.
Second, SketchBlock provides a really new approach of image management. Besides the picture gallery that you can find in any painting app, SketchBlock gives the possibility to manages your paintings by blocks and sheets. The user can create an unlimited number of blocks (classified by name and date), each block also contains an unlimited number of sheets.
More than simply sorting the paintings by subjects, the user can duplicate and transfer artworks between blocks. A painting can be re-imported as background for a new work. An interesting idea is to duplicate a painting after each significant step and work on the copy, so that the progress of the artwork can be shown step by step. This is excellent for making tutorials or slide shows.
The main purpose is to bring flexibility and usability to painting apps, with a small touch of animation, direct video replay and export. The brush effects are the heart of digital painting, a good management of the works will improve your efficiency, send and share artworks are necessary for your visibility. All these features can be found in SketchBlock.
