[prMac.com] Winona, Minnesota - Featuring a fun, original song by Cherubim founder, Ruth Bures, Fuzzy Little Caterpillar presents beginning music reading, facts about moths and butterflies and now, skip counting. Children can drag a butterfly net to the tent and release butterflies by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's. They can release them and count down by touching the tent door. Other enhancements include a drop down menu for easier navigation, 3 staff options, (full 5 line, limited 4 line or solfege placement) and a sing-along page with uninterrupted song.
Fuzzy Little Caterpillar is the only app that combines three subject areas. Children can learn about the life cycle of moths and butterflies, sing along with the song, experiment with notes on a staff, practice ear training, and have fun skip counting!
Fuzzy Little Caterpillar is the first of a series of unique apps that offer a blended approach to curriculum. Bures's original songs are appropriate for learning about the world, with subjects from nature, weather, machines, and playtime. The nature and weather songs especially present opportunities to connect to science subject matter. Songs are powerful learning tools and an effective way to remember information. There is now extensive research demonstrating the brain benefits of music literacy. Fuzzy Little Caterpillar can help children acquire these skills.
