[prMac.com] Helsinki, Finland - A new Finnish game development studio, Rivernos Entertainment today is proud to announce its first title, a basketball trick shot game, Through the Hoop, is now available for download on the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Through the Hoop takes a whole new approach to basketball games with its unique game mechanics and realistic physics modeling.
Through the Hoop is a new type of 2D basketball game where the player's goal is to complete each of many levels with one or more trick shots using one-of-a-kind throwing mechanism. The intuitive and accurate throwing mechanism allows players to throw spinning shots and bounce the ball off different objects in order to pass the levels. The game is powered by a full-blown physics simulator engine, Box2D, that already powers many of the award winning titles on the App Store.
With its approachable game mechanics and each level taking around a minute to complete (or fail), Through the Hoop provides an engaging casual gaming experience to many puzzle and sports gaming fans. Integrated Game Center leaderboards and its three-star level rating system give Through the Hoop replay value for hours.
Through the Hoop launches with 85 levels packed into six level packs and will regularly add new levels via app updates.
