Movavi's new Mac OS X app cuts video without re-encoding

in Multimedia (E)

[] Novosibirsk, Russian Federation - Unlike many other editing software tools for Mac OS, Movavi Split Movie encodes files with no re-encoding, so quality is preserved without extending the processing time. Movavi's new video splitter supports AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, FLV, MKV, MPG, MTS, M2TS, TS, and TOD.

To split a video file into two parts or cut a movie, users simply add a video file to the program, move the timeline marker to the desired point, click the small Split button on the control panel and then the larger Split button on the bottom right to save the fragments. No post-conversion processing is required, so the clips will appear in the destination folder in a few seconds. This advantage can be fully appreciated when splitting large files into multiple parts - the separate parts are conveniently displayed so that users can see the individual part lengths and decide which to keep and which to trash. It is also possible to move selected scenes on the timeline and change their order for further merging.

Trimming videos is another popular task which can be completed with Movavi Split Movie for Mac. Users recording their own videos generally find that some parts of the footage will need to be removed because they didn't work out as planned or don't fit well with the final production. Split Movie's Left border and Right border controls let users determine the beginning and end points of elements that need to be trimmed out.

The Select and Deselect buttons on the control panel enable users to remove or restore deleted parts of video footage while viewing real-time playback.
